English Classes - ESOL
ESOL classes are held in the Williams Building, 180 Walnut Street unless otherwise indicated.
IN-PERSON COURSE REGISTRATION
To ensure that all ESOL students are enrolled in appropriate level classes, we assess potential students' verbal and written skills at the time of registration. Please anticipate the process to take approximately 30 minutes.
Locations: Williams Building, 180 Walnut Street & Chelsea Public Library.
Rosetta Stone Computer Lab - English for all Levels*
Mon & Wed 6-7pm Oct 2 & 4 $40
English students of all levels who need a flexible schedule or additional practice. A technology-based approach to English learning. Receive two days of tech assistance and a temporary license to access the program from any computer, smartphone, or tablet. For those needing a computer, call 617- 466-5233 to sign up for our Chromebook Lending Program and Internet Service. Access to the online program until 1/26/2024.

English Conversation for Daily Living - Participants with some English skills
Friday 11 am-1 pm Oct 6-Nov 3 $25
Practice pronunciation to help you understand everyday English conversations. Learn techniques and vocabulary words that assist you in improving your listening and speaking skills.

English for Spanish Speakers - For Spanish speakers

Slowly immerse yourself in an English language program. Learn the fundamentals of English grammar and basic reading, writing, and speaking skills. Participants should continue to ESOL - Beginner.

Improve grammar skills using idioms and pronunciation. Apply grammar in reading and writing exercises.

ESOL Advanced - Participants with good English skills
Wed 6-8:30 pm Oct 11-Dec 13 $40
Practice advanced conversation and build a strong vocabulary using real-life scenarios. Writing exercises focus on compound sentences.
