The City of Chelsea utilizes resident boards, commissions, and committees to aid the process of effective, responsible, and efficient government by: channeling the resources of expertise available in the community to complement the judgment of the council and professional staff; providing more available forums for dialogue; and broadening the base of resident participation in the processes of self-government.

Become a Board Member

Board members help plan the future of their communities. If you are interested in becoming a Board member, you may want to consider joining one of the following three boards under the auspices of Chelsea Recreation & Cultural Affairs. Please fill out an online application form, or mail or drop off a letter of interest and resume to the City Manager's Office at Chelsea City Hall, 500 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150.
